Tasty Temptations was established as a means for its creator, Chef Karen Fritsche, to combine her passion for food with her personality. The process of using fresh & unique ingredients to create a beautifully-prepared, delicious-tasting dish satisfies her artistic and creative side. Presenting meals to an individual or group at any event, with the confidence that they will be enjoyed, satisfies the nurturer in her.
Karen is no stranger to major life changes and the challenges that result. Viewing each of these as a way to learn new skills or improve those she has, each days is full. The most recent change was to move from the suburbs of Chicago to Georgetown. The next was making the decision to leave the coropoate world to begin a long awaited business in the food industry as a Personal Chef and Caterer. After having spent years as a computer software and hardware sales manager following a career as a medical technologist and laboratory manager for a large hospital, the desire to pursue her own business and dreams could no longer be denied.
Becoming a personal chef and caterer was a natural move. Karen began cooking alongside her mother when she was nine years old, preparing Sunday dinners each week from pictures seen in magazines. As her skills and confidence grew, so did the requests for her catering services. Beginning by providing personal chef and catering services for family and friends and finally establishing Tasty Temptations and providing those services to the public.
